Noa felt broken.
Every small task seemed impossibly difficult for her. Friends called, but she was too anxious to call them back. Dragging herself out of the house each day was a panic-inducing ordeal. Years ago, she was hospitalized for a mental health crisis that left her feeling broken, alone, and scared to ask for help. All her struggles felt like her own fault. “Why can’t I just be normal”she wondered constantly.
Ben always felt like an outsider.
He was the black sheep in his tight-knit family, and it felt like no one understood him. For as long as he could remember, every word out of his mouth and every action he took was met with judgment, criticism, and bullying from his parents and siblings. As he got older, he tried his best to fit in. He made money, married, and built a “normal” life but still felt like an outcast.
Sofia was unsure about the future.
She was happy to move away from her parents and all their constant drama, blame, and disapproval. But once on her own, she felt so alone. She clung to her husband for support; but when they argued, it felt like the end of her world. She wanted to have children and raise a family, but she was terrified of making all the same mistakes her parents made with her. She didn’t know what to do.
Luis always strived for perfection.
He was only seven years old when his dad died, and he remembers the devastating effect it had on his family. He decided then and there never to cause them any unnecessary distress, so he worked his ass off in school and was determined to make his family proud. But as he looks around at his life now, he wonders if it worked. His younger brother is trapped in harmful compulsive behaviors, his mom is still sad, and his relationships all feel one-sided. He feels lost.
Sarah had always dreamed of becoming a mother.
But after months without a positive pregnancy test, she was becoming increasingly frustrated and discouraged. Each negative result weighed heavier on Sarah’s heart. She suffered in isolation, feeling shame, anger, and sadness. She began to question her body’s ability to conceive and wondered if she would ever experience the joy of holding her own child in her arms. It felt hopeless.
Santiago is fighting with his wife again.
He’s been married to Valentina for nearly a decade, and the two have always shared a passionate sexual chemistry. But lately, Santiago feels under attack. It seems he can never do anything right, and every conversation leads to another argument. Every attempt at finding some solution has been useless, and he’s starting to wonder if this relationship is worth saving. There must be more than this.
Noa developed confidence.
She knew she couldn’t go on like this, so she mustered the courage to make that first call. Together, we helped her develop her confidence and regain a positive outlook on the future. Now, she’s reunited with her girl gang; she laughs, feels inspired, and sees a new boyfriend with whom she loves to spend time!
Ben trusts himself.
He was tired of feeling disconnected, so we worked to help him recognize his unique strengths and create a plan for living in greater alignment with his values. He’s now been able to transform his shame and self-doubt into a newfound self-assurance, and his life has changed.
Sofia is empowered.
She decided she needed help and called me. We began having weekly sessions, and she soon learned to break free from the patterns of her generational trauma. Little by little, she felt more empowered and calmer in her body. Her relationship with her husband is stronger than ever, and today, they are both excited to greet their first child.
Luis is free.
He didn’t want to live in pain any longer, so he reached out, and we started helping him find relief. Through our sessions, he’s learned to stop trying to reach some unattainable ideal of perfection. He now has a girlfriend who makes him smile, is more inspired, has tapped into his creativity, and feels more alive than ever.
Sarah found peace.
She found herself sinking deeper into a state of anxiety and depression. She started therapy, and we began to explore her feelings about infertility. She learned to cope with the ups and downs of the journey to parenthood and found a safe space to grieve her losses, express her fears, and rediscover hope for the future. Even though her motherhood journey remains uncertain, Sarah feels more at peace and trusts that she will be okay.
Santiago is hopeful.
He was done doing it all alone. When his wife refused to join him for couples therapy, he decided to go on his own. In treatment, Santiago found insight and patience. He released his anger and resentment and started focusing on what was his. He’s learned better communication skills and how to set healthier boundaries. He feels more connected and hopeful that almost all their ups and downs will be between the sheets from now on.
